The best week of the year

We like the location of the cabin because there's not a lot of people around we like having a big yard that we can play games with the kids. They love the pool table and the ping-pong table. It's just the perfect place for our family vacation every year. This is our fifth year of coming

Nice Place to bring family together

We stayed two nights and had my brother's family over from one of your other cabins for family visits. We also had other parts of our family come for Saturday. The Lanes End property worked very well to host folks during the day. We also packed up the group and went to Ash Cave, which was nice.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature.

The cabin is clean and well-maintained, and the hot tub was clean and worked well. Internet access worked much better than the last time we stayed. There were adequate supplies provided for our stay. There are two other cabins nearby, but far enough away to provide privacy, and once leaves are on the trees, those cabins will not be visible at all. The only issues we had were that the start button on the microwave was finicky, and the large burner on the stove was not sitting flat.

Very relaxing romantic getaway in nature.

This is our third timing staying at Jack Pine with the first being all the way back in 2014. The location and cabin itself are great. The cabin has everything you need for a weekend away. There has been small upgrades over the years and the cabin is still in great shape and was very clean. The only two minor things that we would change would be to have a few board or card games (there used to be some so we didn't bring any) and turn the hot tub 90° for a better view of the woods (cover blocks).

We've stayed here before and as always the place was clean, and the views were amazing. The directions seem to have gotten better or maybe it's because now we know what to look for and this time arrived during the day. The only one complaint that we have is something was off with the hot tub. The chlorine smell was very palpable, and it made us very itchy whereas the last time we stayed this was not the case. Overall we had an amazing time, just wish the hot tub situation was better this time.

A comfortable, private cabin to stay in when exploring Hocking Hills State Park

The beds are comfortable, the living room furniture is comfortable and there is an ice maker in the refrigerator. Conveniently located to the different trails in the area. One of the kitchen chairs had lost a couple of screws and we reported it to the manager. They had it fixed before we arrived back from hiking.

Secluded nature hideaway!

The house was lovely and charming while still having creature comforts of AC and kitchen amenities. The place is so secluded you really felt away from it all! My only suggestion is that better pillows could be provided - ours were pretty flat and seemed like they could be updated.

Very nice place.

This is a nice and roomy cabin for two people. Though it's kind of set back from a main road, it's very peaceful when the traffic goes away in the evening. Great deck in the back, and comfortable furniture all around. I had to hunt for the Wi-Fi password. It's not posted anywhere, but is on the router.

A get place to getaway

I had the pleasure of staying at Hemlock Hideaway in Hocking Hills, Ohio, and it was an unforgettable experience. Always a great stay!

Our second time at Hemlock Hideaway and, as usual, everything was amazing. The only thing that wasnt perfect was the hard beds, though they we did still manage to sleep ok. Easy check in, clean cabin, amazing hot tub, easy access to all of the great things to do in Hocking Hills. Lazy Lane never fails to impress.

Wonderful Hocking Hills Getaway!

We enjoyed the lovely accommodations at the Hemlock Hideaway. We brought our small dog for her first vacation and she made herself right at home. The kitchen was perfect for our needs, allowing us to make breakfast and dinner "at home". We enjoyed a night in the hot tub and an evening sitting around the campfire.

Cozy Cabin for Weekend Getaway

Really enjoyed spending a long weekend at Hemlock Hideaway. The cabin was tucked away in the woods, private from everything else going on, but still close enough to main attractions (like Old Man's Cave). A perfect sanctuary! The layout of the cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well after a long day of hiking.

It was fantastic! My daughter, and her mother both loved it. Cozy, comfy little cabin.

The scenery was beautiful. The cabin was comfy. It was close enough to town that we could get anything we needed. And it was nice close to Hocking State Park, which was our focus for the trip. All around great stay.

Definitely recommend and would stay again

This cabin is a perfect get away very quiet and relaxing. It was very clean and organized I ordered the vase with roses and rose petals on bed and it was wonderful the flowers were fresh and smelled fresh my girlfriend enjoyed them and they were a great surprise we spent 4th of July weekend here and even with cabins being booked it was very quiet and relaxing. Staff is very friendly. We are planning a trip in the future and it will be either this cabin or one of their other cabins

Quiet

If you want to unplug, this is the cabin for you. No cell service, no wifi, no TV. There is one dvd that you can watch called The Vow and that is it. If you like birding, and it is spring time this is a great cabin. I unfortunately did not bring any of my equipment, so no pictures ¿ but we identified 25 different birds 3 of which were warblers. Which was awesome. The hot tub did work great.

Quiet, quaint, relaxing getaway

We enjoyed the deep in the woods location, at the proximity to hiking locations. It is about a 20 minute drive to larger shopping/eating places and out of phone service/data service. But it was a perfect getaway from work and busy life.

Cozy cabin with amazing hot tub in a screened in room

Love the hot tub. It is in a screened in room. It was perfect for the cold snowy weekend we stayed there. The cabin is not secluded like others we have stayed. You can see other cabins and hear cars. But all cabins are set up so you do not see other people.

Decent but could use some work

The location was great. Very peaceful and quiet. Cabin was cozy and cute. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets. Coffee pot was left with old coffee and filter. Only 4 towels. No extra blankets or linens. The bed only had one thin quilt. No heat, but the small space heaters did work well. No toiletries (travel shampoo, soap etc) so if you forget something you have to leave and go to the store. The landline phone doesn't work so there is no way to reach out for emergencies, no signal on cell

Everything we could possibly need, we would stay here again! Beautiful Surroundings

The cabin was as advertised. I will say the land line did NOT work, so fortunately there weren't any emergencies. There is NO cell service, which we expected. We notified the young lady at the office at checkout about the phone. Outside of that, everything was just fine. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. Plenty of towels, the wood burning stove was awesome. There are two other cabins a little closer than we thought, but that does not affect the privacy.

The screened in porch had a picnic table. (out of the rain) The hot tub was clean with not too much chemicals. We enjoyed the satellite TV and DVD player. The wood burner was a plus.

Cute little cabin perfect for a couple going on a weekend trip to Hocking Hills.

Cabin was the perfect size for me and my girlfriend. Facilities were in working order. Nothing broken. Amazing view off the back porch. Jacuzzi was in perfect working order. The only complaint I would like to point out would be the sulfate smell coming from the sink in the kitchen and the shower. I realize this is hard to fix due to the water reacting with the pipes but it was a very strong smell that made showering a lot less pleasant. Overall I would 100% recommend this cabin to others.

Loved it all. Location was quiet and peaceful. Cabin and hot tub was clean. Only thing we would suggest is a mew mattress. It is definitely worn down on one side. But all in all amazing stay.

Absolutely breathtaking

The cabin was cozy and secluded. It was clean and well maintained. The deck was spacious. Many hours were spent outside enjoying the wildlife and the spectacular views. Although there was no WiFi at all, it was nice to completely unplug.

This was much needed time away from my busy and stressful work life during my favorite time of year.

I would like to especially thank Bailey. I had reservations at another rental who cancelled on me 3 hours before my scheduled check in with a simple, sorry for the inconvenience, no offer to help find something else, nothing! I had meticulously planned this much needed time away. Bailey was super sweet and so helpful! I lost my mother last year and she LOVED cardinals. Staying in Cardinal Crest ended up being a wonderful blessing, I saw lots of cardinals and it made me feel close to my Mom.

Our stay in the Cardinal's Crest Cabin could not have been any better!

I wouldn't change a thing! It was the perfect place for a romantic getaway! We completely unplugged for 2 days and nights. We slept great! The deck and hot tub were perfect! We used the grill to make dinner and we seen deer several times. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. For breakfast we made blueberry pancakes one day and oatmeal the next. We made popcorn and brownies. We watched a DVD. We played Yahtzee for hours! Cardinal's Crest we will be back! And, the Hiking!

Refreshed

Simple and relaxing stay had everything we needed. When we got there we Had an issue with the heat at night. Once we called staff had maintenance out to our cabin with in 2 hours and gave us heat right away. My husband and I had a wonderful time away. It was much needed! Thank you!

Great overall--loved the privacy, the hot tub, and the proximity to Logan and to hiking.

We suggest that Lazy Lanes invest in some new mattresses and box springs for this cabin and other in the group (Jack Pine, Acorn Ridge, Wren's Nest, Buckeye). The mattresses sag toward the middle and are uncomfortable.

We just wanted to have a short getaway. This cabin was very cozy and a great location. It was a short drive to Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave. The only issue we had was getting the electric fireplace to produce any heat but the furnace produced enough heat to keep us comfortable.

We will DEFINITELY be back!

We booked a cabin on Labor Day Weekend, from Sunday to Tuesday. We arrived to the first cabin and unpacked everything and got settled in. Unfortunately, that night the water well pump died! I called the after-hours line, and they called a plumber to come in the AM. We had no water from about 8pm and on. S**t happens, not that big of a deal. The best part is that they had another (better) cabin up the road, and we were refunded for the 1st night. Fantastic customer service, we will be back!

Overall, nice cabin!

Loved the open concept of the living room and kitchen. Super close to the state park which was awesome since we brought our dog. Loved the front porch area especially since it rained the while time. Only recommendations would be a cover over the hot tub so it can be enjoyed while it's raining and a cover over the grill. The website said gas grill and BBQ grill however there was inly a charcoal grill. It rained the entire time so it was difficult to grill outside.

Perfect mini vacation, rain or shine!

The cabin was the perfect size for our family. We didn't end up cooking, but said the kitchen would come in handy for a longer trip. The covered porch was really nice with all of the rain and we slept so well listening to it hit the tin roof. We loved the privacy of the hot tub enclosure and our little boy liked to use it as his "headquarters" while he played between there and the creek. The close proximity of the pizza place should be listed as an amenity! We really loved our stay!

It was a very peaceful stay!

We liked having the quiet surroundings in a mostly private area. The hot tub was nice. Although the lighting was a little confusing. We are pretty sure the lightbulb for the hot tub area was out. But the lights from the front porch were just enough for the 20 minute limit per time we were out in the hot tub!

I have stayed at lazy lane cabins many of times of the years and the place is awesome! Me and my family loved almost everything about the place and stay. The only concern I have is someone had to of hit the fence while driving and it wasn't fixed allowing our dog to go into the street. I also would like more of the key code and info we pick up from the office was available via email. The roads to the office scare the heck out of me lol.

its mostly met expectations and was okay.

Appreciate the dog friendly, fire pit and recent updates. Items that are easy fixes with a lot of impact are clean the vent fan on the kitchen wall, get rid of the clock hanging on the cabinet that isn't keeping time, clean the top of the fridge, kitchen side door by oven was found unlocked. Update bathroom towels and mat. Sheets in one bedroom had stains. Shower insert need replace ASAP, calk won't do it folks, mildew!

The cabin was comfortable and well maintained. Everything I needed was available. All major sites were in easy driving distance. They really were dog friendly - there were poochie bells on the door and dog dishes available. The yard was fenced on 3 sides with a small stream and hillside on the 4th side. My dog liked this property as much as I did. I will definitely rent this property again!

Great cabin and property

Cabin is setup great and very clean. Nice property with flat area for kids to play and a trail on the property. Fire pit is great and kids loved the pool table. Only downside is the dryer really doesn't work. It keeps throwing an error that the line outside is clogged. The second time we have stayed and still the same issue. Other than that everything was great!

Comfortable, relaxing, extremely enjoyable

The accommodations were clean, kitchen had everything you needed, bed was comfortable. The only thing I can think of to change about the cabin is the TV needed to be mounted higher so you could see it from the bed. But overall it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Peaceful stay!

The cabin is small but cozy! It had everything we needed. We had so many deer come close to the back deck. That was lovely. I do recommend some wd40 on the doors though. Pretty loud.

Hocking Hills was one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen.

Close location to the trails. We lost power due to the storms on our 2nd day. No power means no water or heat. It would have been nice to have had an extra blanket. Waking up freezing was not the best feeling. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent from start to finish. The only real complaint was the bed squeaked every time you barely moved and the lack of an extra blanket.

My wife and I are never disappointed when retreating to a Lazy Lane property.

We enjoy the seclusion of the location, but still only minutes from all there is to do in Hocking Hills. The cabins have been clean, well stocked and cozy. We appreciate the staff at Lazy Lane for all that they do to make our retreats memorable, comfortable and relaxing.

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful spot to get away.

Blue Jay is a quiet space. The windows face the woods and they are beautiful. And the quiet is so loud! I was there by myself, and it was a great hideaway to get some work done. But it would be a great place for couples to cozy up for romance, or use as a home base to check out the Hocking Hills.

Nice experience

Clean and cozy. Would stay here again! My only suggestion for the owners is to put a light fixture over the grill, I needed my headlamp to see while making dinner. It was also a pet peeve that the string of lights on the deck did not extend down the entire deck.

The Blue Jay cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing trip.

The cabin was the perfect size for my partner and I. It was very clean, the patio and hot tub were amazing, and it was just so relaxing. My cardiac service dog came along on our trip and we didn't have a single accessibility issue throughout the booking process or our stay. The hardwood floors receive a 10/10 from the hard-working service pupper.

Very cozy for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The cabin was right off Highway 664, so it was very easy to find and very accessible. You don't have to drive uphill on a muddy dirt track to get there. The kitchen, bed, and living area are all in one, with a separate bathroom. It was very clean. Outside, the large deck is covered with a 2-person hot tub, a picnic table, and a nice grill all facing the woods. The large garage is locked and not accessible to guests. The bed and chair are uncomfortable and old, but the cabin is cozy.

Very nice cabin and location

The cabin was great. Loved the one room coziness of it. It was clean and had everything we could have needed except more blankets when the power went out and it got very cold. We called and asked for more but was told it would be 10:00 pm before we could get them. by then we were in bed with sweats and hoodies.

Peaceful and relaxing are what we feel every time we stay at Bear Hollow.

Even though it is just two of us, the cabin feels cozy. It is always clean and ready for our getaway to Hocking Hills.

It was a much needed get away.

The space was perfect. However the downstairs bed is only a double bed. My husband is unable to manage the steps upstairs so we weren't able to use one of the king sized beds. Plenty of towels and washcloths. It would have been nice to have an additional towel and washcloth in the kitchen. I appreciated the extra pots and pans including the crock pot. A light over the kitchen sink would be a great addition. ¿

We really liked the cabin and how clean it was. It was so cozy and very quiet. The beds weren't the most comfortable and the sulfur smell of the water really bothered me but that could also have been because I'm 6 months pregnant. Some window coverings on the back cabin windows would have been nice especially at night as well as some additional cabin lighting. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was just the right size for our visit. It was clean and everything functioned beautifully. Literally, the only negative was maybe lack of lighting. If there would have been a way to turn the lighting up (dimmer switch) for brighter light while playing games at the kitchen table for example, would've been helpful. Terrific cabin!

Super cozy, relaxed, and secluded

We loved the location of this cabin. It's far enough away that you get the seclusion of the woods, but short drives to trails, grandma Faye's, etc. it was a perfect sized cabin for us as well. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit. The cabin itself is beautiful with lots of natural light, big windows, and a cozy atmosphere.

Great little cabin out in the woods!

My girlfriends and I stayed at Bear Hollow for New Year's Eve and it was so fun! We enjoyed the hot tub, hiking at Old Man's Cave, cooking and simply the peace and quiet. We will be back!
