Like our home away from home, but more relaxing!

We really enjoy the peace and quiet around the cabin, the hot tub, the little shops in the area. We have stayed in the same cabin for 10 years and it's just what we need to relax & revive ourselves. This year we were pleased to find quite a bit of renovation & updates!

The cabin provided a very relaxing experience this time of year!

We enjoyed the simple, secluded, comfortable opportunity to relax whether we hung-out at the cabin, unwound in the hot tub or explored the Hocking Hills. The kitchenette was adequate for cooking breakfast and dinner which helped keep the overall cost down for our getaway.

An amazing stay!

We took a long weekend away. Wren's Nest was absolutely perfect! It was so quiet and sucluded that was perfect for unwinding. Even the drive in was not bad even on a motorcycle! This was my first experience with staying in a cabin and going to Hocking Hills and Wren's Nest was perfect. We will definitely be returning soon!

Lovely cabin

The privacy, the hot tub, and the fire pit. Our only feedback is there is no temperature on the over knob and all of the knives are dangerously dull.

Our stay was perfect!!

The cabin is in such a nice, secluded private area. It was spotless when we arrived and we could tell just how much care is put in to maintain it and the area around it. We brought a lot of kitchen items but ended up not needing them. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much any utensil and dish you need to make a meal. Same with bath towels. We didn't use ours. The hot tub on the deck was a highlight. It was super clean. The signs on the trail are small but help a ton to find the cabin.

amazing little getaway

Clean and cozy cabin perfect for couples! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed how secluded it was. Cute little porch in the front with fire pit and a hot tub on the back porch. About 20 mins from Hocking Hills State Park where we enjoyed a day of hiking and then came back and relaxed in the hot tub and watched a big boxing match on tv. We loved it.

This one room cabin in a secluded location was perfect for relaxation

The cabin was stocked with all essential items. The location is very close to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls. The hot tub was super nice. I loved my stay here and will return!

Just perfect!

Ahhhh....relaxation!

We love the area and we love the cabin (we've stayed in the Wren's Nest 9 out of 10 visits) There is so much to do in the area and the atmosphere everywhere is just so relaxed. That would be why we come there every year for our anniversary :)

Peaceful

It was just nice to have no kids, no animals, no work lol it was very quiet and peaceful! And I love that there are roku TVs with access to Netflix and apps like that.

It was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful!

I liked that it was quiet and you were able to just enjoy some alone time with your loved one. But I didn't appreciate that there was no salt on the hill coming up to the cabin and that there was a water stain on the comforter and how there were leaks in the ceiling and my boyfriend had to put paper towels in them so it would absorb the water. I understand that it is the winter time but in my opinion I believe that the maintenance or someone should be checking on that.

It was nice there I would come back again. We just stayed the fifth sixth and seventh of January but the bed is the worst the owners please fix that bed for as much as you're paying to stay there. That's the one thing I think that needs to be done Because it's the worst

Location is awesome!

I thought it was nice but not nice enough for the price that i paid.

I liked that it was away from all cabins and had all forest around the cabin. The hot tub was nice. What i didn't like is the mattress/box spring was very old and very uncomfortable. I felt it wasn't as cleanly as i hoped. the shower was kind of gross with buildup in some places and behind the tv stand there was a lot of buildup of dust. I also thought it was a little redundant with how much cleaning up we had to do before check out even with paying a cleaning fee.

Wonderfully relaxed!

Very nice

Hot tub, location, interior, bed, wifi, and tv. Our opinion is the directions to the cabin could use work because it said church on right and it was on the left. The first email to the office had directions on how to get your key but my phone didn't show all until scrolling down of it so I called to obtain that information so I'd say put that information closer to the top. Id also include more information about the gas heaters cause we didn't see any besides keeping at 1

Our stay was very relaxing!

There were a few things about this cabin (Lazy Lane) that need addressed: 1. The left side of the porch (looking from the driveway) felt like the supports were starting to rot out. 2.There was WAY too much chlorine in the hot tub. I understand the desire for cleanliness, but my wife and I felt some moderate skin irritation from the water treatment. 3. The propane heater in the bedroom was occasionally spitting flames outside of the metal cage on the front of the heater.

Loved the little cabin

Overall enjoyed the relaxing, quiet solitude of the cabin, but did not use the deck out of safety..

Secluded. Quiet. Great hot tub. Near many caves and scenes. King bed a great plus. Could not use the ugly old moss-covered deck (safety concerns) with huge moss-covered picnic table on it that should have been on the ground somewhere else.

The cabin was very nice, well kept and well cleaned. We appreciated how removed from the hustle and bustle of the roads and populated areas it is. Loved the hot tub and cozy atmosphere. Overall super happy with the stay at Lazy Lanes!

Very peaceful, cozy cabin in the woods.

Perfect for my wife and me. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit. We listened to many screech owls in the woods while we sat by the fire. We hiked most of the local “must go” spots. Everything around there is so beautiful.

I liked how the online photos were accurate, the no contact key pick up, the king size bed, front porch & options for seating & the precise instructions. I liked the hot tub as well but the jets wouldn't work!

Wonderful!

It was away from everyone. Quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend staying here. We unfortunately lost power during our stay due to high winds. The only thing I'd say you need here is maybe some flashlights and candles or something incase an outage occurs.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature.

The cabin is clean and well-maintained, and the hot tub was clean and worked well. Internet access worked much better than the last time we stayed. There were adequate supplies provided for our stay. There are two other cabins nearby, but far enough away to provide privacy, and once leaves are on the trees, those cabins will not be visible at all. The only issues we had were that the start button on the microwave was finicky, and the large burner on the stove was not sitting flat.

Very relaxing romantic getaway in nature.

This is our third timing staying at Jack Pine with the first being all the way back in 2014. The location and cabin itself are great. The cabin has everything you need for a weekend away. There has been small upgrades over the years and the cabin is still in great shape and was very clean. The only two minor things that we would change would be to have a few board or card games (there used to be some so we didn't bring any) and turn the hot tub 90° for a better view of the woods (cover blocks).

We've stayed here before and as always the place was clean, and the views were amazing. The directions seem to have gotten better or maybe it's because now we know what to look for and this time arrived during the day. The only one complaint that we have is something was off with the hot tub. The chlorine smell was very palpable, and it made us very itchy whereas the last time we stayed this was not the case. Overall we had an amazing time, just wish the hot tub situation was better this time.

Cute little cabin perfect for a couple going on a weekend trip to Hocking Hills.

Cabin was the perfect size for me and my girlfriend. Facilities were in working order. Nothing broken. Amazing view off the back porch. Jacuzzi was in perfect working order. The only complaint I would like to point out would be the sulfate smell coming from the sink in the kitchen and the shower. I realize this is hard to fix due to the water reacting with the pipes but it was a very strong smell that made showering a lot less pleasant. Overall I would 100% recommend this cabin to others.

Absolutely breathtaking

The cabin was cozy and secluded. It was clean and well maintained. The deck was spacious. Many hours were spent outside enjoying the wildlife and the spectacular views. Although there was no WiFi at all, it was nice to completely unplug.

We had a great weekend in the cabin.

We loved the location, ease of checkin and checkout. The cabin was great. The only thing I wish was better would be the bed mattress. We are in our 50s and had a hard time sleeping in it.

It was wonderful.

The cabin is cute and secluded, with easy access to the trails. It was clean and well-maintained. The mattress really needs to be replaced. That being said, all other things met or exceeded our expectations.

This was much needed time away from my busy and stressful work life during my favorite time of year.

I would like to especially thank Bailey. I had reservations at another rental who cancelled on me 3 hours before my scheduled check in with a simple, sorry for the inconvenience, no offer to help find something else, nothing! I had meticulously planned this much needed time away. Bailey was super sweet and so helpful! I lost my mother last year and she LOVED cardinals. Staying in Cardinal Crest ended up being a wonderful blessing, I saw lots of cardinals and it made me feel close to my Mom.

Absolutely perfect!

We had booked another cabin through Vrbo that was cancelled by the owner with no explanation and this cabin through Lazy Lane Cabins was a last minute booking. Everything went smoothly and the cabin was very clean and just exactly what we were looking for in a get-away. We will be coming back booking only through Lazy Lane Cabins. Our stay in the Cardinal's Crest Cabin could not have been any better!

I wouldn't change a thing! It was the perfect place for a romantic getaway! We completely unplugged for 2 days and nights. We slept great! The deck and hot tub were perfect! We used the grill to make dinner and we seen deer several times. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. For breakfast we made blueberry pancakes one day and oatmeal the next. We made popcorn and brownies. We watched a DVD. We played Yahtzee for hours! Cardinal's Crest we will be back! And, the Hiking!

Refreshed

Simple and relaxing stay had everything we needed. When we got there we Had an issue with the heat at night. Once we called staff had maintenance out to our cabin with in 2 hours and gave us heat right away. My husband and I had a wonderful time away. It was much needed! Thank you!

Great overall--loved the privacy, the hot tub, and the proximity to Logan and to hiking.

We suggest that Lazy Lanes invest in some new mattresses and box springs for this cabin and other in the group (Jack Pine, Acorn Ridge, Wren's Nest, Buckeye). The mattresses sag toward the middle and are uncomfortable.

Comfortable, relaxing, extremely enjoyable

The accommodations were clean, kitchen had everything you needed, bed was comfortable. The only thing I can think of to change about the cabin is the TV needed to be mounted higher so you could see it from the bed. But overall it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The pictures online do not do it justice. Super, super clean cabin in the woods. Cleanest hot tub I've ever seen Kitchen well stocked with all the cooking supplies you need and a grill on the deck. Air and heat work instantly. Super private and secluded. Close to all the caves and trails. Loved it and will be visiting again.

Peaceful stay!

Hocking Hills was one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen.

Close location to the trails. We lost power due to the storms on our 2nd day. No power means no water or heat. It would have been nice to have had an extra blanket. Waking up freezing was not the best feeling. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent from start to finish. The only real complaint was the bed squeaked every time you barely moved and the lack of an extra blanket.

My wife and I are never disappointed when retreating to a Lazy Lane property.

We enjoy the seclusion of the location, but still only minutes from all there is to do in Hocking Hills. The cabins have been clean, well stocked and cozy. We appreciate the staff at Lazy Lane for all that they do to make our retreats memorable, comfortable and relaxing.

Blue Jay is a quiet space. The windows face the woods and they are beautiful. And the quiet is so loud! I was there by myself, and it was a great hideaway to get some work done. But it would be a great place for couples to cozy up for romance, or use as a home base to check out the Hocking Hills.

Clean and cozy. Would stay here again! My only suggestion for the owners is to put a light fixture over the grill, I needed my headlamp to see while making dinner. It was also a pet peeve that the string of lights on the deck did not extend down the entire deck.

The cabin was the perfect size for my partner and I. It was very clean, the patio and hot tub were amazing, and it was just so relaxing. My cardiac service dog came along on our trip and we didn't have a single accessibility issue throughout the booking process or our stay. The hardwood floors receive a 10/10 from the hard-working service pupper.

Very cozy for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The cabin was right off Highway 664, so it was very easy to find and very accessible. You don't have to drive uphill on a muddy dirt track to get there. The kitchen, bed, and living area are all in one, with a separate bathroom. It was very clean. Outside, the large deck is covered with a 2-person hot tub, a picnic table, and a nice grill all facing the woods. The large garage is locked and not accessible to guests. The bed and chair are uncomfortable and old, but the cabin is cozy.

Very nice cabin and location

The cabin was great. Loved the one room coziness of it. It was clean and had everything we could have needed except more blankets when the power went out and it got very cold. We called and asked for more but was told it would be 10:00 pm before we could get them. by then we were in bed with sweats and hoodies.

The cabin was nice, the surroundings serene, and the stay was peaceful.

We enjoyed the back deck and the hot tub. The cabin was clean and secure, and the area was very quiet during our stay. However, we did find that the grill only had 2 working burners out of 4. The mattress left a bit to be desired, and had a dip/divot in the center that made it difficult to stay on one side or the other of the bed. We had some difficulties with the back door sticking and the doorknob being a bit loose, but we chalked this up to seasonal issues. Overall, our weekend stay was nice.

Private and peaceful

We love the location, the cabin layout was perfect and the back covered deck was our favorite place to hang. Our only critique would be the hot tub had so much chemicals it burned your eyes and skin so couldn't stay in it but I think it was probably just a rare oversite because I've stayed in they're other cabins and never had this problem. The grill on the back deck had half the burners clogged and probably the biggest complaint is the mattress is cheap and worn out. Very uncomfortable.

Super relaxing stay

The cabin was perfect. We got the peace and quiet that we needed. We barely left the place. Spent time in hot tub, made a fire in the fire pit, and just spent some quality time together. The wifi was out and that ended up being a blessing. The oven didn't work so I quickly learned how to bake in the BBQ grill. Our favorite part was how secluded the cabin is. We went into town one day and couldn't find our way back for a while.

It was okay. Cabin and area were great, but did not have everything working as described.

Area and Cabin were very nice. But the internet did not work the entire 4 day stay, we were told it was the weather and they could not fix the internet. The oven also did not work, and we did not bother to report it, since there was no action on fixing the other issues. Also, the water stinks, I don't mean a slight odor, but it reeked of sulfur.
